Meet Amy Ammen

In 1975, I got my first dog, a Siberian Husky named Tess. My initial puppy love soon morphed into complete exasperation. Though I was convinced Tess was untrainable, we enrolled in obedience school.   Who would have guessed that she would eventually become a terrific companion and one of the few High in Trial UD titled huskies in history? Ironically, Tess’s youthful obstinacy launched my career as a dog trainer. Here’s a synopsis:

  • Training companion and show dogs since 1975
  • Director of Amiable Dog Training in southeastern Wisconsin since 1980
  • Public Speaking
    • Weekend  workshops from Alaska to Florida
    • Schools, humane societies, festivals, libraries
  • Obedience Trial Competition
  • Utility Dogs
    • Siberian Husky, Shar Tez, Am/Can UD
    • Australian Cattle Dog, Zaret’s Cream City Huzzi Bear, Am/Can UD
    • Briard, Ch Prix Weaselle D’occasion, UD
