Testimonials and Client Photos

I specifically sought out Amy Ammen to provide me some personalized, in home training for my 6 month standard poodle Ellie after training 2 other dogs using Amiable Dog Training.  Why?  The answer is simple: RESULTS!  I was fortunate enough to work with Amy previously in an Amiable Basic class with my collie, as well as a Manners and CGC class with another standard poodle.  So when I was having behavior troubles with this new pup, I called on the pro.

SANY0351 Amy came to the house, and worked through a bunch of ordinary tasks in our environment, all in familiar surroundings for Ellie.   The great thing about Amy's suggestions, was that after her visit, I used them and THEY WORKED!  Simple things like tethering the pup to a dining room table with a leash during meal time was great.  It addressed boundaries in the kitchen and kept her confined to a small area, aiding with housebreaking.   During our session, she also showed me ways to better handle basic obedience skills with a pup, and gave me some enlightenment on expectations with a new pup.  All of this was welcomed, as my previous dogs had all been adult rescues.

At 1.5 years of age, Ellie is a very well-mannered dog, who is able to travel with our family anywhere, while at the same time allowing me to feel confident that she'll behave.  The benefit I received from our training session was more than valuable, and would highly recommend Amy's home training program to anyone who is looking for obedience or behavior training.  It's a SMALL investment for a HUGE pay off!

1. All of us benefited from Amy's session with Kody. She made us aware that   Kody was not an aggressive dog but rather was acting out so-to-speak.  He   could sense when he intimidated someone (which was not difficult for a 55+ lb   Keeshond to do) and played it for all it was worth.

Kody 2.We learned how to advise visitors to ignore Kody's behavior, literally  not  to even acknowledge his presence, and as Amy predicted, he soon became mannerly and laid down quietly.

3. Although we've had many dogs  over  the years and are very familiar with how to train them, Amy suggested we enroll Kody in the Amiable Basic Class and this proved to be very beneficial and a positive experience for Kody  in terms of socializing him with other dogs.

4.Many of the tips we learned in dog training classes, put together with Amy's comprehensive evaluation of Kody, made it much more comfortable to be  around this beloved member of our family.  We have recently brought my  husband’s  93 year old mother to live with us, and I can now relax when leaving Kody  alone with her!  thanks, Amy!

I've been training with you for many years, and it's become part of my life. I wanted to tell you I enjoyed amiable training all these years and I appreciate the help you gave me. You saved Rockpup's life when everywhere else turned me away. Thank you.

Jewell_goodwin Yesterday, Jinger, Foxie and I encountered seven (yes, seven) dogs on our walk.  The girls were posturing, but they did not bark.  The water bottle really works.  I am so proud of them.

I appreciate all you taught me.  A 45 minute to an hour walk now takes me about 25 minutes (I have even added more blocks to our walk).  Now, I really enjoy walking my dogs.

I wish you the very best and hope your business continues to prosper.

Lily I (along with my English springer puppy) attended your basic training group classes that were held in Delafield about 17 years ago.  The classes were great, our springer was very receptive to the training  techniques and was a wonderful, very loved member of the family until year ago.

Spike_whisper Spike and Whisper have been doing great - I have taken them to the pet store - and all around here - we did some walking by some of the neighbor dogs today - and they did GREAT!  Thank you - the training is so worth it!

Thanks - and do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do for you - or to use us for a reference!

Thanks!

I wanted to say thank you for your techniques and classes. When I enrolled in the Amiable Basic Class with my young springer spaniel I was truly at my wit's end.  It didn't take long into the training before I started to appreciate and enjoy my dog for the first time!  Now both my dogs have solid training and rules to follow every day. They are really excellent dogs because of it!

Thank you so much, and good luck with all your millions of other projects!

Melissa Adams, English springer spaniel, Milwaukee, WI
