Instructor
Emily began training dogs when she was just twelve years old, and she hasn't looked back since. She has been working with Amiable in some capacity or another since she started training her first dog in 2003. She began assisting with classes in 2005, and has been instructing Puppy, Basic, Advanced, Tricks, Clicker, and Small Dog group classes and conducting private consultations since 2007.
Emily is currently owned by a Doberman Pinscher named Maggie, a Yorkshire Terrier mix named Allie, and a steady rotation of clients’ dogs who come to board, stay, or train with her. Emily does canine freestyle performances with her dogs, participates in therapy dog visits with Maggie through Therapy Dogs International, competes in agility trials, and has high hopes for her newest dog in the obedience ring.
When not training dogs (clients or her own), Emily keeps occupied attending school and working with marine mammals at “Oceans of Fun,” the seal and sea lion facility at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Emily loves sharing her joy of training with others, and looks forward to working with you and making dog training an enjoyable and successful journey for you and your canine companion!
